ALL current champions will be on hand to defend their titles when the Huddersfield Table Tennis League stage their Closed Championships at Newsome Sports College on Sunday.

The makers of hand woven wool rugs must be very skilled and star the rug making process by kneeling in front of a vertical wooden-framed loom. The designs are then placed by using a shuttle to weave a variety of colored yarn together, making large-scale geometric characters and designs. In the beginning, Navajo rugs as well as those of some other Southwest Indian tribes were made of hand-spun cotton thread. However, after the wool of domestic sheep was introduced to the area by the Spanish settlers, the people mainly used wool to weave their colorful rugs and other traditional weaving.Men's title holder Darren Lindley (left) will be looking to put his name on the trophy once more, but no doubt will be pushed all the way by Tim Dyson, who will also be defending his Over 40s title.
Roger Morley, Peter Heywood, Stewart Clarke and Brian Armitage lost just three of their 22 games for the WMC while Adrian Wilson, Matthew Ellis and Harry Ness won all 22 for the school side.
